WTF?! Weigh The Facts
About UsWTF?! Weigh the Facts increases the civic engagement and political acumen of minority and other marginalized constituencies. So while we are multipartisan, Weigh the Facts is unapologetically political.
We have chosen these parameters based on the ideal that broad based participation in the democratic process improves the entire global community. |
Who We Are |
Our constituency hails from a myriad of backgrounds, from elected officials to budding community activists. Our targeted demographic desires to have a larger footprint in success of their communities yet have been unable to engage in a meaningful fashion.
|
Our mission of broad based civic engagement will be facilitated by an array of programs. Primary of these is voter service; from education to protection, with a specific focus on absentee and early voting initiatives.
Sharpening political acumen will utilize a range of delivery vehicles; traditional and virtual town halls, workshops, networking opportunities, happy hours, social media, trainings and collaborations with like minded organizations.
Weigh the Facts will focus on the Ohio counties with the most ample urban populace; Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Lucas, Mahoning, Montgomery, Summit and Trumbull.
WTF’s goal is to meaningfully engage populations that have historically been at best politically marginalized or at worse outright disenfranchised. Weigh The Facts’ target audience is ripe for meaningful, empowering civic interaction. Individuals in this demographic, are becoming increasingly distanced from politics due in part to the current shortsighted, unilateral , crisis based model of interaction.
WTF’s strategy is a channel of mutually beneficial interaction that holds to the principles of a shared outcome and increased capacity. The WTF voter juggles the demands of work, family, and a still shaky economic existence. These realities dictate that practical civic education aimed at illustrating how politics impacts everyday lives is critical. Traditional channels of voter information transmissions are less effective for this demographic. WTF will contact these individuals in the context of their everyday lives, delivering political knowledge in a useful paradigm for our targeted audience.
